Taking Screenshot on LG Nexus 5 - Print Screen Google Nexus 5

LG Nexus 5 is the first smartphone to feature Android Kitkat 4.4 OS and like it's previous version Nexus 4 (2012), it does supports taking screenshot. Here's a quick walk trough how can you capture a screenshot on Google Nexus 5.

Like most of the other android tablets and smartphones, Nexus 5's OS kitkat 4.4 has built in functionality to has capture a print screen.  You will be using 2 keys - volume down and power.

  1. Press and hold 'power key' and 'Volume down' key together.
  2. Hold it for few seconds and you will hear a sound which indicates that the picture has been taken.
  3. You will see some animation and the thumbnail of the picture can be found in notification bar.
Troubleshooting
Before jump to conclusion that 'This didn't work for me' or 'this just reducing volume', make sure that you are pressing both the keys together. Hold it for at least 2 seconds.

Where screenshots are saved

Next task is to find and locate the folder where the image has been stored. The screenshots will not appear in albums so you will have to navigate to screenshots folder which has been created automatically inside your internal memory.
